I hear a lot about Asian Arowana farms and see fish for sale described as being from different farms and being chiped or coming with certificates.
I find all this meaning less becuase I don't know which farms produce the best quality fish or varieties.
Which farms produce the best fish??

it all depends on the buyer which quality they can afford and want and in my opinion i say Xian Leng,Pang Long,Panda,Indo Dragon,DFI,Qian Hu those are the 1s i think are good quality

There are no "THE BEST FARM" as each farm can have a bad quality and good quality too. It's the owner of the fish and how his taking care of his asian aro makes an asian aro's quality the best. If you're not doing good on taking care of your asian aro, even high end aro will look ugly. Whoever is taking care of the aro is the the one that makes an aro to look good or bad.

it depends on your qualifications, almost all of the farms sell good quality arowanas, also it depends on the type of the arowana you want, example super red type, malaysian golden/XB or RTG. there are farms that specializes on the different breed of asian arowana. there are also asian arowana that has a cheap price but it has a very good quality.

You get what you pay for. don't expect to pay 1000 for an Asian aro, and get the highest quality fish they have at the farm.

Thanks for your opinions guys it's just that in Austalia Arowanas are offered FS and they always mention the type of course but also the farm and often that it is chipped and comes with a certificate.
I really don't understand the purpose of a chip or cetificate for a fish that is an illegal import being offered for sale. What can you do if the fish isn't what they say it is?
Nothing really your just out alot of money.

Illegal in Australia? i though they were legit.

Best practice is always to go to the farm and choose your own fish. If you want to ensure that you are getting specific color morph you have to buy an adult (or sub-adult) specimen - which kinda takes the fun out of the raising the fish

Not trying to be an ass, but have you ever owned a fish from any of those places? What are you basing your judgment on?

I'd also say look at the fish and not the farm...
