If you want a suffering arowana then yes. 8.0 is for marine fish, arowanas like slightly acidic water between 6.4 to 6.8. Ph can vary a bit as long as it is stable but 8 is just too high.
 
Golden Crossback or Pahang Gold as it is sometimes called is a much rarer fish as compared to the Red Arowana. It lays fewer eggs and this caused the demand to be higher than the supply, hence higher asking price than the red arowana (about 35% higher).
For those who wants to buy a golden crossback, make sure you buy it from a reputable breeder with CITES registration. Don't get conned. Some traders use HBRTG to sell off as Golden Crossback. 5.5 level and 6th level shine pricing difference ratio is 4:1. Anyway, it is very difficult to tell when it is still a juvenile and there is no guarantee until you can see the 6th level shine with your own eyes.

Thats not exactly true Chilli red and blood red are different the farms have now mixed them all up and mixed chilli and blood in the same pond and to make it easy on them selfs they now call the super red

chilli and blood reds come from different location
