so come november im fianlly getting my big tank:headbang2 195 gallon wide (60"x30"x25") :woot: and i want an arro:drool: , it will be living in a mostly carnivorous atmosphere with a monster ornate:thumbsup: , and a pod of african tiger pikes.:headbang2

what kind of arrow would you recommend for this type of enviroment? i know its a long way off but i like to have everything well planned.....
p.s. im in the us so no asians, and money is no object:grinyes:

Black aros look really neat, but they arent very aggressive. Jardinis are probably the most aggressive, but 1 of them might be ok in your setup. Silvers are kind of in between, and they are the easiest to find

I prefer the gracefulness of the Silver. If money is no object to the owner, then purchasing a snowball(pure white) arow should be on the list. Here in California, Asian Arows are easier to pick up on than what you might think. $800-$1000 will land anyone Red Pandas, maybe Greens. Whatever the choice, congrats on the upcoming tank.:)

i would always advice on an asian, but for a good experience with an aro, i suggest you get a silver. not hard to keep and very docile with tankmates, compared with other varieties. a black would do you fine too, as they dont get as big as silvers

make your tank another 6 inches deep then it will be the same as mine i would go with a black thats what i got stay a little smaller than the silvers

If you can't keep asian aro's and moneys no object, then like importracer said, pure white silver aro's look amazing :D

I've never heard of these...anyone have a pic??

Well, I would either go with that, or a Black Aro...I love those things. Stunning. Good luck!!!

Are you referring to platinum silver arowana? They are rare and very very expensive. Much more expensive than super red and xback arowana.

I would go with a black.
