I would go for the AMG.. I don't think the Elise is an every day driver, although I have been looking at them recently ... I also wouldn't take car advice from someone who has never been behind the wheel by himself.. Sorry Zachy You making a purchase soon Li?

You can't go wrong with that car. The only thing that stopped me from looking at used AMG's was the lack of a manual transmission. But if that's not a problem I would go for it. I have heard really good things about the AMG speedshift and its a 7 speed automatic

not the porsche. I've driven a few boxters and I was unimpressed. I would rather go with an STI than a boxter.

Of the 3, I voted for the Boxster S because of its combination of practicality and performance, but I'd personally pick a Cayman S over the Boxster S due to its added structural rigidity and better looks.

They Elise is the purest sports car, but would suck balls as a daily driver and on long trips. Of course, if your commute is an autocross course. . .

The SLK 55 AMG has the most power, but it's only available w/ an automatic transmission--a fatal flaw, IMO. It's definitely the boulevardier of the group.

The elise vs boxter and amg is not a fair comparison price wise.. the elise is about 50 K while the Boxter S is about 70 and the AMG.. i dont even know..
