Which catfish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
For a 75 gallon, I wouldn't try any catfish that gets over 12". You should consider Hoplo catfish. I just got a few large ones and they're awesome. Extremely outgoing and great scavengers too. I tend to agree with the previous statements that a peacock bass grows too large for a 75, as well as a 120 gallon. If you have doubts, I'm sure there are many knowledgable members in the PBass section who could help you out. Why not just add a couple more silver dollars instead and make a school? I think that would look great.

None, you are full with that stock list.

Now you are going to give some sort of "smart" reply as to why it is ok.

This.

hmm i like the hoplo any one else have suggustions like these? I got to go fishing so i wont be back for a while today.so ttyl

well damn with what you already have in there i would have to say if you are gonna get a pbass too hmmm i dont really know what to say so ill just go with a rtc x tsn that shows alot of signs of hybrid vigor ;) then when it grows enough to clear your 75 of all the fish in it you can give it to me and get reasonable fish for your 75. (like what you already have) in all actuality i would have to say a 4 line pim. would do great in a 75 with your stocklist, they are active and eat alot, therefore heavy bioload. so overfilter and do alot of wc's and you could be ok, well all but the pbass.

hmm try not to derail people. I would love to own a tsn x rtc but i dont have the space. lets try to stay with south american cats to if you can. A jaguar would be cool but there a little pricy.

What do you mean derail sir. We are merely trying to give you correct information. Oh, and get you to listen to facts.

this is what iam talking about we are in the catfish forum and you guys start going of about my plans for pbass. So if your info dosnt deal with catfish then y bother posting? Thanks for those who have said possible catfish and plz keep them coming. For those who want to talk about pbass this is not the time or place.:irked:

People keep posting about the bass because they care about the fish's health. By the way, the bass will eat most of your current stock before it outgrows your 120 andneeds to be moved into a 300 gallon tank. cichla ocellaris on average get 24 inches long not 10-15. It's good that you realize tsn x rtc will get to big but now it's time to forget the bass. For your 75 I would recomend a pimelodus blochii
