Which catfish

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
people are commenting on the bass in the catfish section because you are asking which kind of fish should be put with the pbass and others. well your answer is none should be. there is not a suitable catfish to fit with those fish in a 75 gallon tank. it is completely illogical. no one is trying to derail your thread, just trying to be honest with you that the stock list doesnt have room to add a catfish. there i kept the entire post focused on catfish for you but i said the exact same thing.

the rtc x tsn was a joke by the way i said that a 4 line pim would be suitable for a 75 gallon tank so long as you over filter and do alot of water changes. they are a very large bio load in my opinion, i watch mine out eat my oscars with ease and the oscars have more body mass by far.

People keep posting about the bass because they care about the fish's health. By the way, the bass will eat most of your current stock before it outgrows your 120 andneeds to be moved into a 300 gallon tank. cichla ocellaris on average get 24 inches long not 10-15. It's good that you realize tsn x rtc will get to big but now it's time to forget the bass. For your 75 I would recomend a pimelodus blochii

It cant get to 24" he researched the fish for an entire year! and found it ONLY gorws to 12"!

whatever then if you just want to complain about my stocklist then iam done with this post its personal preference on how many can fit in there and what is to full of a stocklist is not enough for others. All iwant to know about is catfish. Now i just looked at 3 different sites that sell ocellaris and they all said 75gal tank.

Gotta love personal preference, it seems to have taken the lead over common sence these days.

Sweet, wish someone had told me its all about personal preference before.

*Runs off to the LFS to buy that RTC for the spare 3 foot*

Anyone who says Ocellaris will fit in a 75 gallon is just trying to make a quick buck. Even if this is the catfish section, it is hard to just keep quiet when another type of fish is not recieving the right care. Please...think of the fish.

if he wants an occelaris let him get one and watch it eat all of his other fish because he underestimated their growth and mouth size. I won't even get and ocelaris for my 180 because i scared that when i upgrade it will still eat my silver aro because i've seen how big they get and how big they can open their mouth. i also hope he realizes how big his channel catfish gets!

I think Your alittle paranoid there is no way a small ocellaris is going to eat you silver :screwy:. And as for my channel at i have a pond and a pool . so far you catfish people have been almost no help ill have to just stop posting in this section.:(

Just because you dont like the answer, doesnt mean we arent helping.

Peacock bass cant be described as small fish as you suggest in your last post, they grow much larger than Oscars for example, as far as my only limeted knowlege of them knows they get easily over the one foot mark.

In a 75 the suggestion of adding no fish is a valid suggestion, and IS HELPING, wether you think it is or not.

People in this forum love fish, when they see something that sounds like it isnt in ANY fishs interest people WILL say so.

Little edit - after doing some googling myself I dont see anywhere suggesting a 75, can you please link the 3 sites that suggest a 75 as a home for life please?

Sorry another edit - look here for a thread on this fish, might be more informative than the micky mouse sites you have got info from so far http://www.monsterfishkeepers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=18671
