which cichlid has the best eye sight

I've never kept any cichlas, would you have an example as why?

Haha you said it yourself.

1. I have plenty of Cichlids in a 240 and a 150 in the same room. When there is a fly in any room surrounding these tanks BELIEVE me I know. All 7 Cichla move in one motion and very fast.

2. I also have twin 2yr old sons! So throwing things is a hobby for them. When there palying outside in the yard the cichla are playing too. Watching the small bouncing ball that they tend to throw. I have other examples from my own little games we often play with my fish and the Cichla are first to see and first to respond everytime.

3. They are APEX predetor's.

not sure which has the best eye sight but i was told that in clear water like a clear lake fish can see as far as humans on land. thats what i was told although i do not believe it.

Damn Jose!!! That video was sick now I'm definitely interested in cichla it just amazes me how intellegent cichlids are. There is more than meets the eyes!... LOL. And Thank you for the example high city rida that's too funny with the kids. Hey Any ideas on toys for cichlids

I would say the open water predators like Lukanini. Ever see a Luke chase a rubber band flung from across the room? Its like having a little Tyranasaur in your tank.
