which cichlids could live in a 75 gallon together for life?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
How bout a ebjd if i come across one. I always loved the jag as i did have one but i dont wanna stunt the fish by keeping it in a small tank

i think youd have better luck with a regular jd as ebjd can be really sensitive and are prone to parasites if you get from a lfs, one may also not fair well with competing with your other cichlids unless you could find one that was bigger than them, and yeah Jags rock but you would need like a 125 to have one since they get a good 16in of all attitude lol

You can keep the jag if you want and just grow it out and give it away or sell it later. No need to get rid of is ASAP if its only a Juvi. Its not like its gonna hit 16 inches overnight. But the GT, JD, and the 2 Bichirs can live in there for life IMO. You could possibly sneak in a smaller cihclid like a salvini or convict too.

ok everyone thanks for the ideas. i may go with a jd and keep the jag and grow it out and trade it in just to get my jag fix. who knows maybe ill upgrade to a 125 b4 i get rid of him

My current list is a gt, a jag, gold severum, and 2 bichirs. I'd like to add a jd. which fish could live in a 75 for life together?

For life I would go with a pair of Red Devils.

I'd also stay away from the EBJD as the rest of your stock would just bully him. I know they are really common, but what about a pair of pink or marbled Cons?
