I have an eheim 2217 (i think thats the number) with the sponges inbetween the green plastics, but i get terrible flow rate so gonna get a fx5 i think...
FX5 All day long - I live by them.. I have six, the oldest is three years and still running strong! and I have never had a problem with them. I can't say the same for other brands..
If your going to get that far into a filter
Then get the eheim pro e and I have seen people over stock and not have to clean for months the filter
Also does not have loss of flow because the computer built into the pump keeps it producing the same amount of flow
