IDK it kinda depends on the stock but I would go with 48" width about 90% of the time.

I agree totally depends on stocking.. But I wouldn't stock anything near 4ft big in a 6ft long tank anyways and I hate tanks that look like cube's so IMO I'd rather have 96x36..

I don't know what you plan on stocking it with but personally I would choose the 96x36x24. If you don't mind me asking, where are you getting it from?

*edit* ...and I agree with Cichlaguapote on being out on the cube look but it seems longer tanks are better. In a 120/125, would you want a 48"x24" or 72"x18"? Longer is the way to go.

As of right now I'm planning to only stock my leichardti, 3 dorados, 2 moto, 2 dats.

There is a place in Monrovia that makes custom tanks, its called Socal creations. Not really interested in a 48x24 or 72x18, because my current tank is a 150 wide. 5'x2'x2'...

Well yea with rays I would deffinatly go with the wider tank. The floor space is exactly the same but idk if you look at it the 72x48 looks like it has sooo much more floor space if ya ask me.

Rays would prefer the extra width but the Lei would be better off with the extra length. Whats the cost difference between to two, I personally would go for the longer one, but it seems you have already made up your mind.
