Which fish are easier to keep: firemouth cichlids or convict cichlids?(Also please give tips lol)

I don’t think hrps eat plants. My convict grazes on algae, but I’ve never seen them go after real plants.

It may try to, but tough ones like anubias should be good. Jexnell keeps his nanolutae with plants, everything looks fine.

The only time they did any damage to plants is if they set up a spawning spot near a plant and try to move it out of the way. Otherwise they didn't bother them at all.

I have plants in with breeding hrps and have no issues. Also be sure you can source the hrps I was able to find mine locally but you may have to order them online. If so TUIC has some and they are top notch

I probably will have to order online because none of my lfs have any HRPs right now.
