Which fish are easier to keep: firemouth cichlids or convict cichlids?(Also please give tips lol)

A lot of people have been suggesting smaller cichlids so I decided to go with a Honduran red point.
Yup, always better to under stock then over stock. Except with most African cichlids, then it's reversed due to their aggressiveness and territorial behaviors. Personally I prefer the look of a HRP more then a convict. They are pretty much just a smaller, better looking and more well mannered version of the convict imo. Least to say, I don't hear nearly as many horror stories about HRP as I do about convicts.
Also, what should I feed the HRP and the bn pleco? It's going to be the my first time keeping them so idk much about them.
I started mine on New Life spectrum flakes. After they got some size I switched to NLS Ultra Red
Wow, your black beard algae looks so well maintained. Most of the time I see tanks with this algae, it's usually overgrown but yours seems to be really neat and proper looking. Looks real nice when it's well trimmed like that.
