Here is my n.venustus female holding.. i feel sorry for her not eating anything for about 21 days until she spits the babies.. i could take them earlier but i am letting nature take its course.. and second picture is the male n.venustus..i especially like them for their awesome color and size.

The question was about Mbuna. Liz and Ceriff, you guys are talking about Haps and Peacocks:) .

My favorite breeding Mbuna I ever had were my WC Ps. Kingsizei. I would try and breed something a little more rare. The right environment and ratio, you can breed whatever Mbuna you want.

your right ..i was thinking africans in general:D Lake Malawi types..

I would say the ice blue labs, I currently have a breeding pair and I have to say they are an amazing looking fish. Some days they are all white other days they show a little of the yellow along the dorsal fin and some days they show a blue reflection when the light hits them. They have to be some of my favorites.

I've never seen ice blue labs. I'm trying to find a really colorful malawi that I could breed. Something kinda out of the ordinary but not overly difficult to breed. Liz your fish are awsome.

Well Liz it probably wont be for a while. When I bought my tanks from a guy who was getting out of the hobby he had given me all his fish as well. The 2 pairs of convicts he gave me, bred and not knowing anything about them, I wanted to allow them to grow and sell them. Well they really dont sell that well because they breed so readily. If I only knew....LOL Well i just cant bring myself to flush them , sooo... all my excess tank space is being used to house about 100 convicts. I learned my lesson well. When ever they breed i use them for feeders in my cichlid tank now. As soon as I get rid of them I will begin breeding whatever I decide on.
