She did a few days ago.She kept getting it off and I don't know where it is now.

Just to throw another brand in there krich I use stronghold on my dog prescribed from my vet , be careful with shop bought brands as they can make certain dogs very sick ( I've had this happen with mampi my old shar pei ) I'd never use shop bought again only from vets , I'm not saying that its a certain and all brands out there do this but it does happen to certain breeds and its not a nice experience

Hmm I was concerned about mixing the chemicals of any new treatment that I might get with the Bio Spot that is already in my dog's system and the possible problems that that could cause.

That can also be a problem krich different brands have different Dose's and re-dose time lengths any over lap can cause sickness

I use bio spot on my rottie and it's great stuff ime. I use frontline on my pom and it's great stuff too. Those collars are useless.
If you don't apply the liquid directly to their skin you won't see results.

+1 find a bold patch under the collar at the back of the head where it can't be licked off

I switched over to nexguard/comfortis edible flea med. Kills all stage of flea and ticks. I take my do to the beach a lot. When you apply soap to the dogs coat you essentially wash all spot on meds off the dog. I was wondering why I was getting fleas even with protection. So far so good.

When I lived at sea level fleas were a constant horrible battle. but after moving to high altitudes, No More fleas at all.
Down south I battled them on every level: wipe them out treating floors and yard then keep property eradicated.
Initial flea killing baths & rinses to initially wipe them out on animals, then flea collars for protection. This was before they started making the skin drops & oral stuff.
If your grounds can't support fleas it helps a whole lot to minimize what the dog requires.
I never experienced any reaction to flea collars on cats or dogs. cat in previous post with raw neck must've been allergic, which can happen with almost anything.

Being in south Florida, anything topical is almost useless. Comfortis and trifexis are the only things that work. Like with all medication, keep an eye out for reaction, but these are the two best options for fleas.

Not sure if my cat is allergic to the collars or not but she won't keep one on for more than a day.She just won't get used to it and it's not a good sight to see her still scratching while she does have it on.
