Which flood lights are best

Looking to light up a 125 using 3 led flood lights... it will be all south american fish and I'd like to get that shimmer effect. Anyone point me to some amazon links of ones you have personally used. I dont want to wire these so they must be plug in led flood lights..also what shade should I look for for a south american tank?... natural daylight?... bright white?...warm light?....would like the colors on the geos to pop... thanks!

I would go with natural daylight. With natural daylight, You might get a little RBG (I know this is flood lights we are talking) which will showcase the different colors on this fish.

If you go with bright white, the fish might seem washed out.

You sure you want to go with flood lights? I would highly recommend using an LED strip light. Many many people on here could give you good recommendations for LED strip lights on Amazon. I personally like the Nicrew brand ones.

The ones I used on my plant wall were awesome. They were 50watts each. Currently using the 15 watt model on my refugium and growing plants like crazy.

How well would these work?... not looking for anything for plants of course just a nice shimmer effect and to bring the colors out in the fish without being too bright since it's a south american tank. I would prob use 3 hanging a foot above the tank since I already have fixtures

I use these bulbs for my planted tanks (if I don't have an LED fixture for the tank).

If your tank is deeper than 18-20 inches, i'd go with 3 x 15W bulbs.

For blackwater or SA, I like the look of RBG because it looks dimmer to our eyes and the fishes' eyes. Don't think you are doing plants, but the plants use the red and blue spectrum the most for photosynthesis, so RBG is bright to the plants fyi.

On my 90g, I had good success with one t5 and two hydroponic 15w LEDs. Not sure how much light the hydro LEDs added, but it created a nice colorful spectrum and still bright enough to grow my plants well.

For my SA 120g, I have two RBG fixtures and an accent 10000k, it looks awesome to me, very happy with the setup. I have 3 fixtures because of my plants, but honestly the Finnex HLC lights the whole thing (even though it's a 4ft on a 5ft tank) and the spectrum is totally customizable with an integrated timer. I spent about 175$ on my HLC I think with shipping. Def was worth it. If I had one fixture, it would be the HLC.

What about these?.... I decided to switch the 125 for a 180 before it gets delivered.

Which one would you go for?... would they bring our good color?... would the $89 pme not be that bright?

Neither those lights are not ul listed..If your house burns down because of it your screwed. There are plenty of reviews on the tube on those lights. You get what you pay for with leds. I would up your budget and just do it right the first time.
