I've noticed it is difficult to compare/ask for advice about prices online... There seems to be a huge difference in aquarium prices in Canada versus the U.S.

I saw a 130g tank with stand/filters for $300, and that is a ridiculously good price for where I am. One of those ubiquitous black particle board stands for a 125g would be at least $300 here.

55g are nice (I have one), but I like the 40g breeder tanks more. The dimensions are really nice for planting and making a nice setup, b/c their is more of a depth when you look in the tank. The 55 just seems too long/not enough width to it.

More opinions please!
The way I see it is here in CA we have inepensive tanks, hell nearly FREE most of the time. But we dont have Trailer Park Boys on TV and you canucks do. Hard to say who has the better situation.....

If you want a tank RIGHT NOW then go for the 55.......

55s around here vary from 200-700 but generally float in the 200 range. I wish I was in Cali, must be hig supply, down there, here its slim pickings!

Trailer park boys rock!

yup breeders make better tanks more options but you are asking alot of people from the states price advice and canada and US are really different on prices...
