I currently have 2 Jaeger 300w heaters in the sump (75g) of my 225. They used to keep my tank around 80 or so. Now it hovers between 76-78 which. I keep the room around 74 plus I have 2 Laguna 2000 pumps. They heaters show to be going on and off but I can't get the temps back up. I really hate fooling with the controls on these heaters anyways. Time for an upgrade. I'm looking for around the same wattage with a controller where I could put the probe in my overflow box. If you could post recommendations (with a link) that would be amazing. For some reasons heater controllers confuse the heck out of me. Thanks

Thanks. I live in FL so I don't get to the ray section much. That is exactly what I'm looking for. But just to be 100℅ sure...

If I buy this
http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B0036...200_QL40&qid=1406572993&sr=8-1#ref=mp_s_a_1_1

It will have the controller, heater tube and probe right? So I don't need anything else?

I run a Apex but it's overkill for freshwater (left over from SW). What about a ReefKeeper light? The link you posted looks like it would work too.

I just used the raykeepers as an example cause most hobbyists don't have that kind of loot invested in their stock, so I'd expect them to be using above average equipment while still keeping it simple. (KISS)

I know all theirs (minus the ones that need wiring which is what I went with) have everything needed included. I tend to try to support the people that help me care for my fish, and when you need meds Jehmco delivers, so I tend to look with them before "the internet". ;)

Jehmco makes a nice controller. Can plug two heaters into it & its easy to use.

Agreed. Can even plug in a lot more then 2 depending on application.

I use a half dozen 300 watt Jagers with mine. Using a heater with a built in thermostat allows for a double fail safe in the event the controller fails, sticks, and tries to hold a fish fry without my permission.

Ranco. I wired up a heavy duty power strip to mine. And run 4-300watt heaters. My temp has no fluctuation at all
