I am currently feeding my 16" jardini large Hikari Cichlid Gold pellets. I was wondering if the Hikari Jumbo Carnisticks are better. I know that they both are from the same company and have the same amount of guaranteed analysis but does anyone know (from experience) whether or not arowanas like the taste of one over the other?

Definitely go with Jumbo man!

Yeah, the carnisticks work WAY better than the cichlid pellets. I am currently feeding it to my jardini and silver.
The silver is a lot more picky than the jardini, it never ate the cichlid pellets . With the jumbo carnisticks, both are willing to eat it everyday!
The carnisticks also make the jardini much more full than the cichlid pellets.
The silver and jardini has develop better colors so I guess hikari isn't lying after all.

It's the same food, only difference is you can get the cichlid gold cheaper.

I know but somehow arowanas can taste the difference.
I know this because my silver arowanas will not eat cichlid pellets at all and eats the sticks everyday.
My jardini no longer accepts cichlid pellets and only eats the sticks as well.

I'm sure most large aros would prefer the jumbo carnistick, just for the larger size, but since I'm not rich enough to spend that much money on fish food, I just alternate between Cichlid Gold, Tilapia fillets, and market shrimp for my aro.

So I'll say it just depends on how much you're willing to spend.

I feed my black arowana the cichlid pellets he likes it, but I never trid the other one becuase the pet shop from where I buy never got it, but after this post I think I will ask him to get the jumbo :-)
