Although the big Leptobotia is cool (and I hate loaches), it is clearly inferior to really cool marine fish like triggers, sharks, eels, lionfish, wrasse...

I had once had a 75gal marine tank and it housed a reef setup with lots of fishes...I also had a 50gal freshwater setup with plants and all for small community fishes then switched to bigger, badder cichlids....I can definitely say that I would prefer the saltwater fishes over the freshwater type - though it is definitely more expensive to maintain.

oh by the way, I have an 8 inch australian gold arowana in a 50 gallon tank...no plants, no substrate and no decoratives....
