Hi guys,

just as the title states, which one do you think is the best for mechanical filtration? Please don't vote by brand name, but experience or technical facts.

Would it be just the one with highest flowrate?

I know a lot depends on media, but given the same conditions for each of them, which one would be best?

Cheers

Id personally say a sump is the most superior by default, however as per the actual spec choices you listed, i wouldn't know sorry.

The real question to adequately answer that is what environment your using it for.

Just ganna go with Fx5 cuz thats what I use

If we are talking about the default setups, as recommended by the manufacturer, then:

FX5 for mechanical. Eheim for biological.

None of those should be used for mechanical filtration, get an AC110, and stuff it with 1 foam, 1 fine foam, and a micro polisher, and just clean it every few days, nothing better for mech filtration.
