Which is the most aggressive SA/CA cichlid in your experience/opinion?

Oh my god, this will be easy. I know butti's are african, but they are big like americans!
I have to give it to the Buttikoferi, my male who is now a whopping 17 inches. He murdered my 180 gallon long tank, there were dovii's, devils, and umbee's. All the other fish were bigger than him at the time, I didn't think a tilapia would do that. Especially a Hornet Tilapia Buttikoferi. My butti will attack the glass whenever someone walks by, When ever I clean the tank I have to wear rubber gloves! and When I teaze him he will slam into the glass so hard I get freaked out, my friends are scared of him because you can hear his teeth grinding on the glass, my old butti killed several big bad boys that all of you think are the toughest.
Africans will always beat CA/SA cichlids! C'mon my old kenyi and auratus were blood thirsty killers! they wouldn't let the biggest fish pick on them(Umbee).

I totally have to agree with you, butti's are killers. My buddy owned a 240 gallon tank. We were at a party for 2 days! When we came back to his house somehow his dovii was dead with a missing gill plate? I was so confused, because the dovii always ruled the tank. Then we saw his male butti chewing up the dead dovii's body. We soon figured out who killed the dovii.
He also owned a couple black belts, those guys didn't last too much longer after the dovii was gone.

Probably either a red devil, jack dempsey, or jaguar cichlid. My vote is for the red devil.

I would have to say the N. Istlantum is the most aggressive! Yeah the dovii, Umbees, Butti, grammodes, Citranillus, flowerhorns ive owned are all beasts and very very mean and strong. But my 7" green istlantum took them all! He as well as my other istlantums would just patrol around to kill, kill and kill. Crazy fish! Get one!!!!!

Buttikoferi, Dovii, then Red Devil.

Tilapia buttikoferis. People always say that doviis are the most aggressive, but those people have never owned a buttikoferi. Mine was in a 300 gallon tank and it ripped the lips off of my red devil. I figured he needed a bigger tank and a more aggressive tank mate, so I put it in a 500 gallon with a 20 inch dovii. Within a month he murdered the dovii. They fought for weeks and eventually the doviiis fins and gill plate were gone. Those things also have nasty bites because of the amount of pressure. Mine bit my hand once and I had to get stitches. That thing was so ridiculous that I had to get rid of it. When I got rid of him he was about 15 inches. I will never own one of those again because they are just that aggressive.

Probably salvini's and butti's. My salvini was MEAN. He killed almost everything like dovii's, jag's, umee's, midases, red devil's and a couple jewels(5 star). Until I got my butti who was an inch smaller he took my salvini out. There was a slate in my aquarium and my butti opened his mouth and slammed the slavini into the slate. The salvini's head sliced open. I saved the salvini and he is doing better now but ever since the salvini became a wimp. Never fought with anybody.
The butti then out grew the salvini so I bought a dovii from skip(Real Hard Cichlids Kennel), and that dovii got murdered not one single scale on the poor fish. That butti is long gone not with me anymore, WAYY TOO MEAN!!!

POUND FOR POUND MEANEST AND TOUGHEST,
1. Buttikoferi Cichlid(Tilapia Buttikoferi), Craziest,toughest Mother F... cichlid, Never EVER backs down Hyper aggressive too. One of my favorites, These guy's took out and killed red devil's,Skinned every dovii and jag, and SLAMMED EVERY DAMN FISH to a Corner.
2. Mini Dovii Cichlid(Grammodes), This little fish is nothing but psycho. Loves to fight.
3. Red Devil Cichlid(Amphilophus Labiatus), Very Aggressive fish, with a stocky Body. Born to Fight.
4. Jaguar Cichlid(Cichlasoma Managuense), A tough cichlid with a big mouth and teeth to back it up, Very Territorial.

Thats my list to the meanest CICHLIDS EVER.
