Which is the most aggressive SA/CA cichlid in your experience/opinion?

my red texas. hes in the 2nd video link in my sig if you want to see how mean he is. i think some hybrids can be meaner then any other fish but for pure strains size for size i go with the red devil.

We cant rank the fishes that way, coz it all depends on individual characters of the fishes! I had to remove a 5" jaguar from the tank coz it was beaten up to death by a 3" convict, who rules out the biggest fish in the tank first.

I would say that pound for pound, and inch for inch, a convict is the most aggressive cichlid there is. at least my 3 inchers keep my 6 inch RD in check.

very nicely said my red devil will not allow any tank mates in his 90gal

there are exceptions with any cichlid.some may have the rep but not the aggression...

umbee's, dovii's, jags, rd's, butti's...these are some pissy fish....and yes, I did miss quite a few others...

The only thing that limits the convict is its small size. they got the attitude to be in the top 10.

i agree completely on the auratus
my 1.5 incher rules the tank with other full grown malawis in it
