Out of all the fish I've personally owned, I would have to say my Red Devil is the most aggressive.

i would agree..the red devil...when you get a nasty one...no others can compare.

Well, its not a Cichlid, but my Black Shark is the most agressive fish Ive ever had and its not even close. As far as cichlids go, pound for pound the melanochromis auratus probably takes the cake. My Red Devil is pretty agressive too.
i dont understand how any fish will let a black shark gum them to death, but it happens

Believe it or not the most aggresive cichlid that i ever had was a tiger oscar. I could not put any other fish in there with it or it would be killed. Like they say it was just the individual fish I guess.

I jumped from Flowerhorn to Jaguar, they eat piranhas and dominate red devil and wolf cichlids.

Uhmmm you are just plain wrong about this one buddy, every individual fish is different, but usually a dovii will definitely dominante a jag and I've seen jags owned by red devils as well.

if all are the same size i think a midas or red devil. im also talking all fish being around 9 inches or so because some fish show there aggression alot sooner then others. you may have a 4 inch male festae and a 4 inch jag at that size id say the jag but at larger end 9-10 inches i dont think the jag would stand a chance with a male festae. ive only owned one dovii and he was around 5 inches and was a wuss but that could be due to small size.

Midas is wolf cichlid? Omg i wanna get one.

Try checking the photo lounge so you can see pics of these fish, you are obviously very new to the hobby and should try researching some of this information.

I say just about any half way aggressive cichlid defending its tank/spawn is the most aggressive at times. Especially when people just dump in a new fish into an established tank with territorys.... Usually the fish thats home is gonna put a beating on the newbie - not everytime tho. But from my personal experience central america and lake malawi species have been the most aggressive.
