Red devil... My late and great rd destroyed a Jag, gt, oscar, and bluegill in one weekend when I was away. Oh, the rd was maybe 3 inches long and all the other were at least 5. That beauty lived by itself for a bit after that, trying to attack anything in the room that moved. Man I miss that fish, lost it in the Ike storm... wish I had pics.

People get different fish in the span of 2 years. Meanest fish I ever had was a 5" con. Everytime I walked in the room he went nuts.

That's true, but there have been plenty of similar threads in that span of time. Don't really see a need to bump such a thread after 2 years.

I would have to say the nastiest fish I ever had was an Undulated Trigger. Point blank just nasty! Had to be alone no matter what I tried. And he was the newest member! Now, my Flowerhorn. Last three days he has gotten so worked up that he darts face first in to his tank, with a big CLUNK... LOL

man guys i wish i had pics of him but i deffinitly had the pacu from hell...i mean never in my life have i seen a pacu so psychotic, if i turned the lights on, shut them off to quickly, or made any big news in my room he would flip a ****... lol one night a book slef collapsed in my room and shook the floor and he threw a tantrum and knocked the lid off my tank and flew out onto my bed lol...... he lived........ but man was he psychotic.... i had to buy him aluminum heaters, keep the water level lower than top so he didnt spalsh it onto the floor and had to aquarium silicone his filters tube onto the filter so he didnt constanly take it off, every plant ornament anything i put in with him he broke lol cute little monster he was 14-15 inches

My male dovii tires to kill anything and anyone besides his girl. Its hard to even lift the lid up to feed him without him jumping to bite your fingers. But in second place is my Male RD he is about 10 inches but jumps for food not fingers.
Danger to Dovii.jpg

I know this was an ancient post but I wanted to point out the danger of those broken terra cotta pots. I think an aggressive fish thrashing around could get hurt pretty badly by one of those.

I like my "Post Your Glassbangers" thread better but it's a Video thread so we can actually see your tough guy:mr-t: in action.

I agree...you hear much talk of these "glass bangers", but your thread eliminates the people who are all talk. The glass bangers in your thread must 'walk the walk' as well! :)

I wouldn't say that banging the glass a lot is a requirement for a fish to be to on a top 10aggresssive list, considering smaller fish like salvini are aggressive, but hardly glassbangers

Glass banging is usually because they are trying to get at you and attack you. So I would consider it an indicator of high aggression.

Ya All know I think Amphilophus are the baddest.. Maybe.
