I would have to say in my own experience trimac cichlids are the most aggresive. He beat the crap out of Jack Dempsey, and my dovii(though it should be noted the dovii was a female so could have been less agressive). He also attacked my red wolf fish from time to time. I had two trimacs since getting into fish and they ruled the tank. I only lost them cause a hurricane killed one and one died cause it litterally chased and beat the other fish until one day its face turned black and just stopped moving.:(

that's a new one:eek:

I know right! I originally seperated the trimac from the rest of the fish thinking maybe it was sick and needed to be quarantined. The fish got better and the red devil, flowerhorn, and dovii showed no signs of any kind of sickness. So I put the trimac back in and it did what it normally did terrorize, maim, dig everything up. Then he was chasing the red devil and his face turned black and he just stopped(He completely expired a minutes later). My friend who owns his own fish store said i could get the trimac tested but it would be expensive. I chose just to bury him in my parents rose garden, and have never owned another trimac since. That was 6yrs ago.

In my most recent experience, my convict has been runnimg a tank full of cichlids, such as firemouths and red devils.Even the green terrors run and hide. It's a well planted tank, but no rest for the wicked.

I used to think it was my 8" pike cichlid until I put my midas in with him because the midas was trying to kill everything in my 150 gallon tank. Don't y'know the midas killed him in one day. He then killed the pleco a few days later. He now enjoys a tank all to himself and he's gonna stay that way forever.

For me, it's my 11"+ umbee. he is king of the tank and he is not the biggest.

fishes in my tank: red evils 10"+, tiger motoguense, flowerhorns 12"+, umbee, and 14"oscar.
