Which is the most aggressive SA/CA cichlid in your experience/opinion?

if were talking about adult fish here there are only two contenders big male umbee/dovii, i had a big dovii well prity big around 16-17" and he was aggresive, he would attack the glass when you walked passed and just looked angry in general, ive never personaly had a umbee but my dads buddy mick had a big one around 20" last year, and i have to say that it was the most crazy fish i have ever seen in the hobby, it bust two 10mm glass tanks in 6 months before mick ended of giving it away for £100 pounds.....sigh wish i had my big tank then

i've had tons of American cichlids and by farthest was my Red devil at 8". Could whoops and tear at my large male dovii.

I once had a red devil,buttikofrie , cuban ans red cichlid .the B.f and the cuban put up a good fight as they grow up but the red devil was nasty and ruled.I ended up splitting them up and alway thought red devil was the meanest. fish are terrtourial .one day i put divider in the cuban's tank and drop in the red devil ,to my amazment the cuban ripprd him a new one so i reverseed the situation and the red devil returned the favor.the fish out of his domane really did fight back.i really was not sure who were male and who were female and that matters.When i did this a was young and would not do it again.

if i had to say one i would say the umbee

male Wolf cichlids, hands down. they are a league above any other cichlid, and are the only cichlid to ever make me bleed from just doing a little tank maintenance.

Of the fish I've owner, I'd say my male RD is by far the nastiest.
He was a born scrapper, the only day he behaved was the 1st few days. Once he found his place, it was all hell.
@ 3"-4" he was challenging my 7"-8" JD who was boss until my RD reached 5"-6".
My RD is now a "wetpet" & only get the company of my female when they're in the mood.
I'm hoping my lil barred RD is as "badass", he/she was the "alpha" in the tank I got him from.
He/she had the other 3 gold base RD's shredded.
I really wanted to get a solid gold base, but when I saw this barred owning I knew I had to get it.
Plus it has all the nice features of most RD's.
Red/Gold base, & barred!!!
