red devil

I have a new Red Texas Cichlid and i did some research on them. They say that they are considerably more aggressive than most other cichlids. This is due to the fact that they are bred with flowerhorns. If you know more about the Red Texas please post about it. Here is a photo of mine.

^ Texas cichlids are very aggresive, but I would have to say Dovii, Umbee, and Jag are the top 3.

i would have to say convict cichlids they may be small but they can be aggressive. Now in my experience my pair of convict cichlids actually amputated my 12'' oscar's left front fin he went in to the breeding cave of my convicts and was eating the 6 week old fry and i found him with no left fin swimming in circles at the bottom of the tank, he is currently in a 30 gallon rehabilitation tank.

Hands down Convicts !!! during breeding season had to get rid of my convict pair as they bet the C#@p outta my fully grown oscar

Meanest I ever had was a red terror I had years ago. I've had others that weren't nearly as bad though

Convicts and Jags are pretty consistently aggressive in my experience. Red Devils and Flowerhorns are more sometimes yes, sometimes no.

Meanest cichlid I have owned was a male Salvini. He was very pretty but I couldn't keep anything with him in my 75 gallon. Male Convict, Firemouth, and Severum all had to be moved. Eventually he ate the head off of one of my pictus catfish (how that did not kill him i'll never know) which lead to me giving him away.
