I like the spotted gars that I have caught but the Gator is a brute though.

i think the spotted looks the nicest.
and by the way if anyone has any baby spotted prolly like around 2-3 inches PM me plz im really interested in getting one. i had a 6 inch one but it wouldnt work out with my fishes. it killed a leichartii so that HAD to go

I kinda feel bad about saying this but .... my LFS sells 3/4" spotted Gars for £4.99 ($8.70) In fact i'm going to go buy one tomorrow and grow it out in one of my 20gal's...

I like all species of gar, but my research interest lies with the spotted gar. I also keep a spotted gar in one of my tanks

Definatelt tropical, but for gars that I can actually afford I think I would probaly go with a longnose.
