Which Kind of Oscar?

tigers, and albino tigers are my favorite

the look of a fully grown healthy tiger albino in a 75 would look great
as would a tiger

i have a pair of "wilds" and im not as fond of them as i am of my albinos, or reds
but they do have nice, interesting patterns

i guess it depends mostly on personal choice
i would say, get to a quality LFS that you know sells oscars, and take a look at them, whichever one catches your eye, should be the one you go with

I've been intrigued by a strain I've seen in some websites as Astronutus crassippinis(or something like that). Is that the same thing as "wild oscar"? Has anyone ever seen them for sale?

Personally i prefer red, problem being is that I cant find any that arent so inbred that they have mishapened elongated bodys. I am currently looking for some now and cant find them.

Astronotus crassipinnis is another closely related species but a distinct species and is not the same as the common oscar, Astronotus occellatus.

I voted for albino but to be more specific my favorites are the leucistic ones (I guess that's what you'd call them) that are mostly albino but have black tipped fins and normal colored eyes but with a white body.

Does the wild strain ever get any red?I've seen several phots of them but always they were all 3 or 4".
