Which monster fishies are good at breaking glass?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Well then, a more accurate question would be "Who knows of a fish that has broken 3/4 inch thick glass in a tank, with no rock or other objects involved?"

i just missed what happened during the first part of his post about kate middleton...

but as stated by the other folks any big fish has a potential to break the glass

Thank you all good answers! Also must observe everyone use English all good, even though Prince William marry Kate Middleton, what for? Not good called "middle-" ton too much average boring name almost bad like "Muggleton". Prefer suggest if prince try marry "Upton", and if royal prince, try "Upton-Jones" or even more better, "10000gallonton". And name Kate really trashy, good she now called Catherine, but for special distinction, better change is L250PlecoCat. So, recommend name "Kate Middleton" change to "L250PlecoCat 10000gallonton".

Thank you! Name baby girl L250PlecoCat, not cheap cheap "Kate"!

Seriously... WTF?

Thank you! Always trying better English...please welcome more correction of my grammar. Hope can improve English here even if not use line-breeding method.

I wasn't correcting your English or grammar. only hoping for true glass-breaking examples, rather than theoretical possibilities- and humor- although that is fun.
If it has been done by fish, people can recite the details ;-)
I'm not sure that lids are examples of what you're asking about. They can be forced off the tank and then break. You seem interested in fish breaking the tank structure.
I've only read accounts of that when hard objects are banged against glass.

NO, I get cha now....I agree 1" glass is better than 3/4" because that big of a tank need thicker glass especially for bigger fishes. They should make 3" glass I would feel safer...lol....I am working on plans for a future monster huge huge huge huge tank myself and I am looking to get the thickest glass available. well that I can afford which is probably 3/4" .... lol....
