if it's in a crack how can you see it? 
at the very worst you'll have a little bit of sand in some of the cracks... it's just more borrows for the pods to live in....

lol. i usually dress up the rock for the first month, using a turkey baster to blow the sand out of crevices and divots. Theres an answer for everything lol....
