hello, which of these cichlid tankmate options will work? (will work as in they will not kill eachother)

1. 4 male convict cichlids and 2 striped raphael catfish
2. 2 male jack dempsey and 2 striped raphael catfish
3. 1 male jack dempsey, 2 male convicts and 2 striped raphael catfish
4.1 blood parrot, 1 firemouth, 1 male convict, and 2 striped raphael catfish

BTW i have an aquatech 30-60 filter and a marineland penguin 550, thanks!

Out of those options, maybe #1. Or on second thought #4 might work even better, the BP would probably be dominant and keep the peace.

Anyone else have thoughts on that? How big do blood parrots get btw?

Ive recently heard there are some foot long parrots out there. I still have not seen a pic though and I am not saying they get that big but the rumors are out there.

I had a bp that was 9-10". Most personable fish I ever owned, and got along with everyone but a 10" pike that he headbutted until the pike had a huge bruise.

I've never owned a BP myself but I know a guy who had one, it was very personable and outgoing. He offered it to me when he changed to salt water but I turned it down. I'd say go with #4.

thanks, i will probably go with #4, but i was anyways wondering what would happen if 2 male jack dempseys were in a 55 gallon with 2 raphael catfish?
