One of my tanks has to go bye-bye.

Out of these 2 tanks, which would you keep and why?

Tank 1
156 Gallon OceanicSystems glass aquarium and cherrywood stand. Dimensions are 60.5"L x 24.5"W x 24.5"H and it's kind of scratched up from many years of use.

Tank 2
135 Gallon OceanicSystems glass aquarium and cherrywood stand. Dimensions are 72.5"L x 18.5"W x 24.5"H. This is 21 less gallons but it's in perfect condition...not one single scratch and completely beautiful. It's also a foot longer which is good but 6" more narrow. I had it set up for only 8 months before upgrading and it's been in storage for a year now. The 156g is already set up and running.

Please don't give me a bunch of "Keep Both" answers because I can't.

Photo's of the tank would probably help. It seems as if you are fond of tank 2 because of the condition that it is in. If tank one is really that bad then I would say stay with tank 2. However given the water capacity and the dimensions of tank 1 I personally would go with that one, more water, less width space needed which helps when you dont have too much room to work with.

Both are solid tanks and not in danger of falling apart or anything. It's just that I want to make sure I'm keeping the right one. I was watching my fish last night and really noticing how scratched up the front glass has gotten over the years. I have an offer for $300.00 on the 135g and my wife says I'm taking it because we need the space.

I'm at work and can't provide photos right now. Just imagine a 5' x 2' tank and a 6' x 18" standard 135g.

i would keep the 156 dimensions are better for larger fish

I leaning towards the 156g because it's bigger plus it's already set up and running. If I keep the other one, I have to break down the 156 and re-setup with the 135g...(i.e.-much more work). The only thing is it's front side has several large deep scratches in it. Maybe I could turn it around, I wonder how the back glass looks.

i would keep the one with the clearer glass.
and if youre thinking about keeping the larger one to house bigger fish, get rid of both of them and get a larger tank

where are the tanks? if there both in house display- keep the 135, if there in the garage- keep the 156. i personally lean to the 156 do to the great dimentions.

but then again, if its already set up, and you have an offer on the other tank.....

tough decision... id ask the fish what they thought?

Upgrading is not an option. I have a practically brand new tank in the garage that I HAVE to sell. I just want to get some opinions from others which one they would keep and which they would sell.

It a display show tank in my fishroom. When you walk in my front door, there is a sitting room immediately on the left (think tiny second living room-10' x 10'), that is my fishroom. When people come to my house, the first thing they see when they come into my house is my aquariums.
