wow what a tuff choice. I think I like 2 a little better. because it has more spots on it.

#1 it has more solid white
#2 it has better markings , but with a slight brownish white color.

This is a realky tough choice for me @_@

By the way, will that brownish on#2 color disappears as the ray gets older?

I prefer the second myself. The brown should go away and they did not look to be young so spotting will change. Bit as they get bigger

I'm not a pure white stickler so I like 2. But 1 looks like it just started breaking. Might be just as spotted in a few months. Parents could give clue as to what to expect. You can't go wrong

Will that be fine to mix that 30cm male in the tank with some 20-25cm female rays?

Will the big male try to mate the young females? Or he will only go after the sexually matured female?

I think you should be fine. Not a big size difference. Plus females usually grow faster. So they can catch up potentially.

However always be ready to divide and separate. It's a constant thing for me. Can't predict ray behavior. Never know who will need a stress break or to heal up from some bites.
