Currently I have a 240 gallon with Male Dovii and Male Umbee and a 30 gallon grow out with Male Jag, Red Pike, and Black Belt. I plan to move them to my 1032 gallo pond-are there any Bichirs out there that would be compatible with the crazy aggression of my cichlids?

Bichirs are tough but the I'm afraid they won't survive for long with constant harassments from those aggressive cichlids.

I'd be worried about the Dovii and Umbee (probably moreso between each other), but if you get bichirs large enough, they will probably be okay in a pond that big. It depends a lot on the temperment of the cichlids.

it works pretty well in my tanks
the only problem you may face is feeding them
as the chiclids are aggressive eaters and polys are pretty slow (sens are cool as the come to eat at the surface)
other types of polys i don't know
the chiclids i keep(cons,GT,Os,Jags, cubans, JK FHs, all of them are in their growing out stage of life )

Just buy some Bichirs, Ornates, Endlis, Congicus, Maybe laps.
Grow them big and just toss them in there.
The cichlids will probably bother each other!

Hello,

NEVER keep bichirs with cichlids!

Why?

Cichlids are aggressive when breeding. Bichirs do not like stress ...

Cichlids are very quick eaters - bichirs are more slow.

I had kept bichirs with cichlids for a while - a dozen of Jack Dempseys. Some day two Dempseys were breeding and hunted the bichirs in almost every place of the tank! Day was hell ... you have to keep in mind that cichlids attack the eyes of other fish first!

Fortunately i had a 11 inch ornate. He was also hunted by the Dempsey parents (only half the size!) but at night the situation turned: The ornate feed a Dempsey all two days.
I had inherited the Dempseys and didn't want them all the way. There were no one who wanted them almost given as a gift - so the ornate killed them all.

Bad choice: Either you will loose the bichirs or you will loose the cichlids. It my work for a while but some day there will be war in the tank!

Keep in mind the pic from is300zx ...

Greetings

Uwe

You know what guys thanks for the advice and I think I will pass on keeping bichirs with cichlids-I mean if an Oscar did that to a bichir imagine a Dovii or Umbee-thanks for the help!
