I'm going to get one more fish ( a bigger type). I have a 55 and 38 gallon, and will upgrade when I need to (if I can't the big guy/s will be re-homed properly). Which do you prefer, an oscar or silver datnoid?

I currently have Dats and I used to have an Oscar. The Dat will grow slower so you have more time with it, while the Oscar will grow to become a beast in no time. Silver Dats are brackish, so if you wanted to get anything else, it would be more restricted.
Silver Dats are the same as American's (AT), right? I think the LFS told me they were in regular freshwater. . .
