okay now what is the difference besides the price tag???
anything that the one has the advantage over the other???
 
difference has been stated....Ac110's media if selected properly could/will last for years and years...110's and XP3's are like blue jeans and hair gel.....Necessities...lmao
 
AC110 is the best for mech with standard setup, marineland bio-wheels are the better for bio with standard setup, as long as the bio-wheel is still moving.
 
i have had ac's in the past they performed alot better than any other hob ive ever had
 
I say Emperor 400. Better biological filtration.
I have 2 of them on my 150g along with a fluval 405 and they work great.
 
Will a 400 provide more bio than a 110 stuffed with matrix? I'm not sure I see how that is even close to possible....Oh well...

A stock ac110 has less bio capacity than a stock emp 400, but with changes to the media (not matrix, but a good bio media) the AC110 will out perform the Emperor 400.
