Which Parachromis is most colorful?

I'm honestly leaning toward a pair of Rio Danto Freddies... could I keep a few dither fish with them like silver dollars?

Yes. I keep some form of Metynsis with most of my larger fish. The trick is to have them grow out together...or giving the metynsis a jump start by putting them in a little larger. Be careful, characin are notorious fin nippers.

Yes. The question was for you Mo you seem to have alot of experience with the parachromis.

Hard to peg one as being more aggressive than another. Pound for pound, I would say that managuense are the most interactive and aggressive. Here's my personal experience....managuense and dovii were glass bangers...motaguense when breeding, the freddies (both) not so much, Again...this could vary from person to person and fish to fish. When I had Jumbo, he was the MOST aggressive fish I ever owned. He was the only one that I had to distract to put my hand in the tank...and the only one to ever bite me...once jumping out of the water to bite the back of my arm as I stretched it across the open tank. He was f'n insane.

I swear I commented but I can´t find it on any page...
SALVINI may be smallest but by far the most colourful if you can get a good quality one.

as for the big Parachromis ? have you seen a well conditioned Loiselli? they look stunning, somebody on here had a pair they posted pics of and they were mind blowing

Salvini are not parachromis. Very colorful....but ex-Cichlasoma...not parachromis.

Unfortunately I labeled them that until it was determined that the fish were NOT loiselle, but a variant of Fredrichsthali. That confirmation was made by none other than Dr. Paul Loiselle...the latters fish's namesake.

This is hard as Jags do take some beating for colours, patterns etc. My Female Red Mota had some lovely colours but then again My Male Dovii has nice green/blue in his fins and face.

So as i said i dont think i could choose one as its to hard.

Thanks Darren.

I WOULD GO WITH RED TIGER MOTAGUENSE OR THE GOLD TIGER MOTAGUENSE. LA CEIBAS ARE AWESOME COLORS TO0 BUT THE GOLD TIGER OUT SHINES EVEN THOSE.
