which peacefull tank?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
If you think a convict or firemouth is a terrorist, you've never had a vieja. Same goes for an unruley mota.
Your stocking sounds "ok" for the 125 but be prepared for aggression issues if and when they present themselves.

ok. and i know the firemouth doesnt count as a terrorist, i have a friend with a 210, that a salvini ruled forever, and the tank was african cichlids, then a frontsa came along and ate him. i just want ca cichlids that are cool looking and will add some color

I would do 1 male EBJD, 1 Severum, and a Sajica with your current stock list. The Vieja is probably not the best idea. Most can be pretty aggressive. A salvini will also stir up a lot of aggression as well. Oh, and I've never owned a Blood Parrot that was overly aggressive so I'm not really understanding why so many are calling this an aggressive fish? I don't think your 125 is currently over stocked but I wouldn't add too many species to this tank. You have to think about the tank a year down the road. I would say add 3 fish and call it a day.

Oh okay, when you said the salvini ruled a 210, I was picturing a ~6" salvini, and then you said a frontosa ate it, and this was my immediate reaction: :screwy: :nilly:......... :grinno:

yeah, it was of like baby assorted africans and the baby salvini, the frontsa came along and pretty much at them all. i decided not to do either, check out my most recenct thread on my stocklist for the 125, i am looking at a pair of firemouths, 1-3 sajicas, and a nicaraguan. so semi aggressive semi peacefull
