I think we all agree that pellets are the best feeding option with any non live food coming in second and of course feeders being last. My question is which pellet is better as far as nutrition goes for cichla. I will list the 3 pellets I have gotten my bass to take at different points.

Hikari Massivore
Hikari cichlid gold
Hikari food sticks

I have one group that prefers cichlid gold while the other seem to prefer food sticks. They eat massivore but eat off the surface so don't get massivore very often. Is it best to just rotate so they get the benefits of each pellet or does one stand above the rest?

All input is appreciated.
Thanks

NLS all the way

Just curious but why do you say that? None of my local stores carry NLS so i can't really say either way but if it is worth my while I can order some fron online vendors, just Hikari is much easier to get locally

Food sticks have always been a favorite of mine.

Some people swear by NLS, Seeing as he is feeding a 55 gal African tank and you are feeding P-bass I don't really see what insight he can offer

Yeah it would be alot of trouble to get NLS if I can get Hikari locally and I already know my fish like Hikari... I'm really just trying to see from a nutritional standpoint is there one particular pellet that has advantages specific for cichla that is better than others? I honestly think mixing pellets is the best strategy but if there is one super bass pellet I want to know lol

I use both to feed my fish. My Ternetzi eats the big floating type of NLS which was intended for my RTG but it refused to eat the NLS, it would end up spitting it out after taking a bite. So I just stick with Hikari food sticks when feeding my RTG.

Hikari Bio-Gold+..........There like Steroids for fish.

I will 2nd that.

Since I started my kelberi on the hikari cichlid bio gold + 1 week ago he has grown like a mad man.

Between the new colors popping and massive size up its like he's hulking out.

I rotate my foods with him.

My 1st feeding which is his big gorge of the day is the bio gold , then the late smaller feeding is the carnivore sticks.

Today he ate 17 bio gold pellets at 12 pm and 9 hikari carnivore sticks at 8pm. Thats my typical routine except the appetitie keeps growing.

I have massivore delight as well but did not feed it yet. I will rotate that in about 2 weeks.

BIO GOLD IS THE BOMB IN MY OPINION.

BTW- To all those who claim kelberi grow slow.... LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
