which pike?

Belly crawlers are excellent fish. They get anywhere from 7-9" and are full of personality. Here is a pic of my male (females are more colorful) He was $9 at That Fish Place, he was falsely listed as a red ringtail pike.

I think this is a female for 2 reasons.

1. The red at the base of the dorsal. I've never seen a male with any hint of red.

2. The clear fins. Males will have multiple small spots in the soft portion of the dorsal and anal fin.

Female's usually have an oceli in their mid dorsal area but I have had females where this is absent.
 
What are the tankmates going to be? That might help with the suggestions.

pbass,tats,a ray,maybe a channa.
basically im constantly swapping fish...
but nothing too aggressive will be in the tank.
