Piety much any pleco can be kept with them as long as they are kept well fed. They would much rather eat veggies or other foods 9 times out of 10. Slime coast trends to be a last resort with most plecos. That being said panaques are best kept on a diet of veggies and wood. Protein wreaks havoc on their digestive tract, and assuming that is what you are going to be feeding the bichir I don't think they are a good match. Plenty of psudas and hypans that fit the bill though

Hey darius, I have a gibby with my sen and they get along just fine. Never see the gibby sucking/rasping on the sen, that said always keep an eye on them, and keep them well fed.

I have my sen with 15 royals in a tank and its been 12+ years with no issues. When i used to have my army of endlis i also had them housed with 4x 97's and 600 again no issues.

I would just stay away from keeping them with small plecs just incase the bichirs try to tare them up or swallow them.

Others may have had different experiences, but I wouldnt put any plec or "sucker fish" with a bichir, unless its a very active bichir! mine got terrorised by a common plec and when I removed him, my Chinese algae eater decided to chase my bichir none stop. both were removed and my bichir "frankenstein" had a much better life, a combination of poor eye sight and slow movement makes them a sitting target, plus you dont know how your bichir will react, possible leading to the death of that brave plec!
