yeah, but they are pretty lame compared to SA rays :(

sorry man, you're in the same boat I am

I've beentrying to find out some info on this ray, i've been coming up short on resources. you guys say I can keep this ray but not with much enthusiasm, WHY? Also will it work in a 100gal aquarium for starters?

These are the same rays you see when you go out into the Gulf except some have been acclimated to freshwater. Do you want to keep that?

They get HUGE and produce a HUGE amount of ammonia even compared to SA rays. They are tough to keep but do able. For you it would cool if you could build a large outdoor pond and keep them there!

No, they don't get huge only get to be 14 inches, much smaller than most SA rays. Their renal functions increase about 10x in FW. That means that they have 10x the urinary output and 10x the normal absorption of water. So you would need an excellent filtration system.

What type of filtration system, because right now I have a Toms Pro Seris PS4 that filters about 1000 Gallons an hour on a 100gal tank.
