Stingray is right, they dont get huge. I was confusing them with the Southern Stingray that can get five feet across with a total length of 10feet!
Atlantics get up to 24" but with a really long tail 2-3x their disk size. He is right about the amounts of urea they give off.
Would be cool to own some in a large outdoor pond.The Tampa area should be warm enough to do it year round. If not a heater could easily keep them warm enough!
