Which sand can you use from Home Depot?

I used play sand and thought it always looked like mud.

Pool filter sand all the way.
 
i used quikcrete playsand...

i can never find pool filter sand at my home depot, what section is it in?
 
can the quickrete playsand be bought at home depot? is it ok with rays?
i checked out leisles pool supply and they dont ahve any sand
 
i use quickrete play sand in my 150gal with my motoro, he loves it. and i bought it at homedepot in the building department.
 
would OSH have the same thing? what about like stones, i remember a while back someone posted they got abunch of river stones from their home depot or something, does anyone know where to get those and how much they cost? Im looking at filling the bottom of my 125 so im gonna need a decent amount of sand or stones

Yeah, those black 'mexican beach stones' or something like that, it's a big bag for $11-13 (I forgot).

I'm thinking about getting some for my tank. I wouldn't use only stones, because it's a PITA to gravel vac out the gunk from under them, if you use more than 1 layer.
 
how hard is it to gravel vac sand though? my 40 has planting soil in it sorta thing as substrate, and its a PITA to vac that, and id imagine sand would be even finer...
