Which SLR camera for under $700 LINK attached

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
i like my XTi. it is a good body to learn on and takes great pictures. i got the body only for $450 and spent the rest on a lens. canon makes some great lenses. ive heard good things about the new canon XSi

I say do some research, drop by Best Buy or Adorama or any camera store and see what works for you. Its not all about the price, its also about the feel, the menus, portability, lenses, and others. I tried Canon and Nikons before I decided on a used Nikon D80. I'm illiterate when it comes to DSLR but I opted for the D80 because its not the entry level DSLR but its somewhere in betweet their flagship models and entry level models.

Overall, it will all fall upon you and what you want.

Although a Canon 5D is something though...

I look at nikon like drugs, Just say no. Go Canon! I owned a d80: slow focus and hooking it up to a computer was a PITA (you had to use a wizard instead of it just showing up as a drive like canons).

slow focus motor depends on the AF len's being used. i have shot 80-400mm Vr's on my D70, and they focus like snails do to the slow motor, being that it was a lens made for Bodies with faster focusing motor's like the D200.

and as far as hooking up, i dowloaded, abode, snapfish, Hp's photo system, and Corel on my computer. and downloading/uploading pics is VERY easy. if i want to edit pics (RAW or .NEF files) i put the pics into corl and work with them there. or i uploaded them very quickly to adobe, and than to photobucket or flickr. what sorts of problems did you have?

Nikon fanboy coming out here, but:
The focusing depends on the lens and who really hooks the camera up to the computer? That's what card readers are for;)
