I'm in the market for a new tank. This will be an upgrade from my 190. I've narrowed it down to two companies-Glasscages and Fishtanks Direct (Tenecor tank).

Here's the details:

Glasscages 300g 96x30x24=$1,320+$150 for overflows+$135 fro shipping to a town near me to pick up+unknown extra for black background. Total price for me to pick up 20 miles away is about $1,700. Glass cages have a 90 day guarantee against leaks. I think lids are also extra.

Fishtanks Direct 300g 96x30x24=$2,042+$150 for overflows and bulkheads and free shipping and black background. This is a factory built Tenecor tank with a lifetime guarantee. Total price to my door is $2,192.

Fishtanks Direct 350g 96x36x24=$2,195+$150 for overflows with free shipping and black background. This is also a factory built Tenecor tank. Total price to my door is $2,345.

I'll be keeping the fishes in my sig, they're all big. Which one would you buy? The decision seems obvious to go with the Tenecor. If I do, is the extra 50g and 6" of width worth another $150?

I voted for the Tenecor 350. If you know of any other deals better than this, let me know. And if you can provide links, that would be even better.

Thanks in advance for any and all help and/or suggestions. And thanks for this great forum.:)

I would go for the 350, it's only about 7% more money for 16% more water. Down the road you'll never think "I wish I didn't have 50 extra gallons". :)

If you like dealing with incompetence, go with Glasscages..... they're sure to drive you nuts and screw up as much of the transaction that they can.

if you have the money I say go with Tenecor, with glass cages you get what you pay for.

I voted for the 350 and I didn't do any math, now that I see the math, it's a no-brainer.

Thanks for the opinions. I see we all think alike, lol.:D So, who are the two people who voted "another deal I don't know about" and what are those other deals?

Thanks again for reading.:)
