Which to choose?

Finally got my mom who may allow me to get a 55 But i saw a Jack Dempsey that looked sooo sweet! It was all dark black and the others were like a shadow black. So my question is, Should i get sunnies or a small bass for a 55 or a JD?

sry about that. It is mainly natives and jacks. jd's outnumbered by 3-1 so thats why its here.

dude you should get the JD's,i have two of them and there so cool and fun to hav around in your tank though they can get quite agressive and territorial. they look way better than a bass anyways.

hmmm, I used to keep a bunch of sunfish in a big tank, and they were awesome. Very territorial, and they had really bright blues and greens, with some red too. They only got to about 6 inches, but they need a lot of space. In your 55 you could probably have 4 or 5, until they got really big. Speaking from personal experience, I would definitely go with some sunnies. Looks like I'm only the 2nd person to vote for them though, haha.

thanks for voting guys! Looks like i'm going w/ jd's. I had 1 when i was a like 8 and that fish was sooo sweet. Found a 90g on craigslist and cant refuse it!

bass need at least a 180 or so. 55 is way too small
