Technically he said you sound like an one, not that you are one.

People go to a local store and buy whatever crap ZZ they have then come here asking what it is and its pretty and valuable and ask our opinions. We give them our opinions thats it not that great when it comes to Flowerhorn and say "it doesn't matter about the quality, all that matters is you like it".

I honestly can't recall anyone telling someone to get rid of theirs.

Chances are if you are buying a flowerhorn in the US from a store then its more than likely gonna be a really low quality ZZ from wholesale. There are a few occasions where they have something else but that hardly ever happens.

flowerhorns are very aggressive fish, and can only be kept alone in a decent sized tank. therefore space is limited to those who keep these fish. what do you think happens to the fish that you guys on MFK deem worthless? use some common sense please.

First off I am not gonna lie to sometime to make them happy, if they ask for opinions then thats what they will get. Second if they are too stupid to research a fish before they buy it then thats their issue not mine.

If they don't want to keep the fish because they find out its not special then thats their problem. Keeping Flowerhorn is not a status symbol, if you are keeping them or any fish for that matter to impress other people then why even bother. You should be keeping the fish because you like it and that what you want.

Its the same thing when you ask people about a Midas....

I know what you mean, there are several troll posters who post harsh or rude comments because it gets them in an argument which is like their hobby. I wont name names but you can figure it out. Just refuse to argue with them.

True but maybe instead of saying "your fish is worthless" you can say "thats an average pet grade fish". You make the same case without starting a fight. Trolls start fights on purpose, thats why they word their comments rudely.

I understand. I don't think they should say they fish is worthless, and I don't think I have said that because that is a rude way to put it. I will use words like "Low Quality" or "Low End".

My Red Dragon isn't High Quality but I really like him and thats all that should matter.

Yes, that's how you think and I totally agree about keeping fish you want to keep. But that's not how everyone thinks. And I disagree about flowerhorns not being status symbols, because they are (hence their high price tag) which is why I quit keeping them.

I will agree that they are viewed as status symbols but they shouldn't be. Someone inside the Flowerhorn hobby would view as fish a low quality because they have seen what can be and someone out the hobby will view it differently.

I would love to have some like this because I love the trimac look. Its a low quality FLOWERHORN but in my book its a high quality fish.

@jimmy16 is that a midas or is it a devil. i'm guessing devil from the lips

it's definitely a mix of the 2. he was purchased from petsmart 8 years ago. he's 13 inches and very very fat. so he's too big to be a pure devil.
