Which Vieja and why?

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
wow you're lucky would love to go see his place and fishes. check out his bifa while you are there, mine from him has crazy colors and alot of personality, more active and outgoing than the synspilum

It's probably the worst decision I could possibly make lol. I know Im not supposed to impulse buy, but in a place like that.....it's gonna be REALLY hard not to.

Seriously though, I'm really looking forward to it. Should be cool to see that many different cichlids all together in the same place, and that many of them. Plus getting to actually pick the fish is gonna be cool. The argentea is for sure, but I'm sure the other fish will be something that we just see and have to have.

Fenestratus are by far my favorite out of the vieja/paratheraps type fish. The colored/pink fenestratus are by far the most colorful of any vieja/paratheraps and they can hold there own with anything. Make sure you check them out when you are there, to me they are a lot nicer then all of the others.

...... "Oreo" (my daughter named him lol) is eating about 5 times a day now and has a few temporary tank mates incl. an angelfish, molly, corydoras and a few tetras. He's by far the most polite and sharing cichlid I've ever known ( he shares food with my 6" angelfish which is just NOT supposed to happen but.........."Lucy"(angel) is my little fish whisperer so to speak.............

Oreo is really cool........

Beautiful argentea! Fins look a little torn but they should grow back perfectly! Vieja are my favorite fish. I have 4 bifas, 1 black belt, and 1 argentea as well.

then you have this to consider. One of Mo's best pics IMO...........
